Should You Use All-terrain or Hard Surface Skid Steer Tires on Your Farm
Skid steers are one of the most versatile pieces of equipment a farmer can own. Depending on the applications you are using your skid steer for affects what type of tires should be on your tire. Evolution Wheel has two tread patterns that both offer long wear life, serviceability, and traction in different applications.
Evolution Wheels Skid Steer Tires
Both the EWRS-HS and EWRS-AT are designed with unique core geometry that compresses similar to a pneumatic tire. Solid tires often have no flexibility which affects traction and overall performance. With the core geometry both the EWRS-HS and EWRS-AT have amazing traction, are flat-free, and feature the wear life needed to be the right tires for any application.
Both these tires are also segmented. Each segment is bolted onto the rim which allows the operator to service the tire when needed. If a segment is damaged all you need is a ¾” wrench and a spare segment and you are good to go.
The EWRS-AT Series Skid Steer Tire
The EWRS-AT is designed for off-road applications. If you are running your skid steer in dirt and mud for most of the time, then these tires are your best bet. The EWRS-AT features large lugs and no wear bar to maximize wear life and traction.
If you're operating your skid steer primarily off-road or muddy areas these tires are perfect for you.
The EWRS HS Series Skid Steer Tire
The EWRS-HS Hard surface tire is designed specifically for hard surface applications as the name suggests. If you are running your skid steer primarily on concrete, asphalt, gravel, etc. these tires are for you. The EWRS-HS tire features a unique tread pattern that increases the surface area of the tire while also being a perfect rolling circle. This along with the void space maximizes traction and longevity of the tire lasting 3-5 times longer than a traditional pneumatic tire for these applications.

The EWRS-AT and EWRS-HS series of solid skid steer tires were designed to meet the needs of today's job site demands. We came up with a way to offer you serviceability, traction, and a comfortable ride all in one.
The EWRS-AT series of All-Terrain solid skid steer tires are specifically designed for customers who need additional traction in mud, sand, and uneven terrain. The EWRS-HS series of Hard Surface solid skid steer tires master hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, and general hard even surfaces. Both tread patterns are also available in our standard grey non-marking compound.
With serviceable solid skid steer tires sections, the need for a service truck and specialized technicians is all but eliminated. We have reduced your service tooling down to only a 3/4" wrench in your operator's back pocket and repair parts are readily available in your nearest onsite storage container or in the toolbox of your pickup.
We spared no expense in creating this product and weren't afraid to bring you the largest tread lugs in the industry for serious traction and a long wear life. By reducing the number of lugs on a solid skid steer tire, we were able to increase the width and height of each lug so we could get rid of the wear bars running through the center of any other solid skid steer tire you're going to see on the market. This gave us two things: large voids in our tread pattern allowing for unmatched material cleanout, and a long wear life on our bigger lug.
To make this product the total package, we topped it off by engineering a smooth ride into our design. We worked hard to bring you a proprietary rubber compound that would allow enough compression to reduce operator fatigue and stand up to heavy loads. Did we mention that the compound is also designed so that it won't stress crack? Only a premium compound would do for a premium product, that's the Evolution Wheel standard.
