Hard Surface Telehandler Tires
The EWRS-TH-HS
When working on hard surfaces it is important to have the right tire for the job. Hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt are highly abrasive and will wear through rubber fast. Using a tire designed to stand up to these conditions is important for getting the most out of your tire.
The EWRS-TH-HS Series is designed specifically for these conditions. They feature a tread design with a large ground contact area to disperse the pressure of the tire over a larger area. The void space in the tread provides traction. We designed the tread pattern this way to lengthen the wear life of the tire while also providing traction with a smooth ride.
Serviceability
Serviceability is highly important in any tire. The EWRS-TH Series, along with all Evolution Wheels tires are segmented. When a tire is damaged, it is often only damaged in one part of the tire. Because most tires are manufactured as one full piece of rubber if an area is damaged the whole tire needs to be replaced. Replacing a full tire before the tread is completely worn adds to the cost of operation while also causing downtime. Evolution Wheels’ segmented design eliminates those expenses.
When a segment is damaged, all an operator needs to do is remove a segment when it gets damaged and replace it with a spare one. The only tool they need is a wrench in their back pocket and they can get back up and running within minutes. This allows the tires to last until the tread is completely worn so you can get the most out of your tires. It is also important to point out that the EWRS-TH Series last 3 times longer than a pneumatic telehandler tire.
Tread Pattern
When the tread is completely worn out, we offer retread kits for a fraction of the price of the original tire. This cuts down on tire costs in the long run as you don’t need specialized technicians or tools. When it comes time to retread the tire, Evolution Wheel offers retread kits with a brand-new set of segments. The operator can change the segments themselves right on the job site.
Core Geometry
The core geometry featured in the EWRS-TH-HS Series, as well as the EWRS-TH-AT Series, is engineered with a linear load curve for safety and stability. Foam-filled telehandler tires will often buckle when a load gets too large. This causes safety concerns as the operator can’t accurately predict how the tire will react under such loads. Having a linear load curve allows the operator to accurately predict how the tires will react underneath the tire. The EWRS-TH Series of solid telehandler tires have a linear load curve from 1lb to 18,000lb.
